directed performance that allows them to present to their families and
friends the results of a year's hard work, dedication, and progress.
A big part of the dance training process includes learning through perfor-mance. The experience helps build self-esteem,
self-assurance, and contributes to a sense of confidence. The
rehearsal process IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE CHILD PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM OR YOUR CHILD TAKES SEVERAL SUBJECTS PLEASE UNDERSTAND WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL PERFORM IN THE SAME SHOW. Costume Fees: All students will be required to purchase a costume if they choose to participate in the recital. Average costumes will cost $70.00. Ages 3 & 4, 4 & 5, 5 & 6 combination classes will receive one costume which can be used for tap, jazz and ballet. The costume will run about $70.00. All combo classes will perform one routine in one show. Costume Alterations: Parents/Students are responsible for minor alterations to costumes: hemming, taking in, sewing straps, etc. Costume Deposits: A $55.00 NON-REFUNDABLE costume deposit per class is due prior to October 1st. All costumes must be ordered over the winter break to ensure delivery by late May or early June. You will receive a bill to let you know the exact balance due. Recital Fee: $80.00 per immediate family
(You get a $90.00 value for $80.00.) This recital fee is due by April 1, 2008. Recital Tickets: If you need more than the tickets included in the recital fee, they can be purchased during class time (in advance) at $15.00 each starting in May, and at the auditorium (if they are not sold out) for $20.00 each. All ticket purchases AND recital fees are to be made payable to Braemar Dance Center. Recital Rehearsal and Pictures: There will be a mandatory rehearsal at the auditorium prior to the performance. A rehearsal schedule will be handed out. Pictures are taken at the studio during the week leading up to the recital. A picture schedule will be handed out. You are under no obligation to purchase pictures but please have your child attend the group pose. More information and scheduling will be available to you closer to the date of the recital. SPECIAL NOTE: If you decide not to participate in the recital, please notify the office prior to costume deposit due date! As of Session 5 which begins April 30th, all emphasis will be on our annual recital. If a child is not participating, we feel it is unfair when costumes arrive to single them out. All non-recital students do not participate in Session 5.
